Trampoline Competitions

Trampolining became an competitive Olympic Sport in 2000

Trampolining is for anyone from tots to adults. It can be for fun and fitness or for those who wish to aim for a Competitive achievement.

Our Club run and attend friendly competitions throughout the year from individual to synchronised including a fun get-together competition at Christmas.

We start trampolinists with the novice competitions before entering them into the Regional & National Competitive structure

Competition

British Gymnastics provides a graded competition structure that leads from local novice competitions through to National Championships and the National Squad. Competitors are grouped by gender (boys and girls compete separately).

In most competitions, the competitor performs a set (compulsory) routine, which is the same for anyone in the grade group, followed by a voluntary routine which the coach and competitor construct together to exploit the competitor’s best skills.

The voluntary routine may be the same as the ‘set’ routine. Set routines are progressively harder for higher Grades in the scheme.

The Competition Structure is developmental from Club I and H level which can held within a club setting, through to Performance levels and may be apart of the Award Scheme.

Regional G to E and National League Regional D, National C, FIG B and FIG A

The emphasis is on participation and fun whilst developing good technique. Focusing on progressive practices to gain their goal rather than focusing solely on the outcome goals, which can put extra pressure on performers.

These assessments are run Regionally 4 times a year and are the early learning stages for competition

  • presenting oneself in public
  • wearing competition uniform
  • learning to control nerves
  • gaining consistency of performance in completing routines
  • knowing and understanding the competition rules
